Student Testimonials

The guidance, help and support I received by my tutors during my time at Step Ahead Coaching was impeccable. The tutors are highly motivating, passionate and enthusiastic, encouraging students to reach their full potential. Having a small class enabled plenty individual support and feedback so everyone’s targets and needs could be met. The importance of hard work and dedication was not only emphasised in the classroom, but also in the various workshops put in place throughout the year to benefit students across all their disciplines. Attending Step Ahead Coaching enabled me to exceed in the HSC and attain top marks and therefore, I would highly recommend Step Ahead!

The teachers are very helpful and encouraging of all students, the atmosphere is inviting for all students to engage in the content and with each other to assist and teach. I would highly recommend Step Ahead Coaching to students going through their own HSC as it will provide an extra resource in order to gain the best results possible.

Helped me out from year 10 all the way till year 12 in regards to English and maths, honestly wouldn’t have gotten the mark that I’ve gotten if it wasn’t for the tutors provided. Great tutors and even better people overall!

My experience at Step Ahead coaching can cleanly be summarised as a positive one. The teaching staff is highly engaging and well equipped with different levels of explanation for each topic covered. I would highly recommend their teaching services to anyone looking to gain assistance in any area of school learning with classes covering Mathematics and English all the way through to Chemistry and Physics, all of which I actually attended myself. Definitely turned my marks around and helped increase my dedication to my studies.

Frequently Asked Questions

If a student fails to adhere to their schedule of class attendance, homework submission, and its subsequent correction, a notice is issued to the student and their parents or guardian. We use this process to understand why the student is not completing their work and then work to rectify the situation.

We appreciate that time is precious, it is imperative that our students don’t become complacent. We do have a lenient extension policy on overdue homework and solid infrastructure to seek additional help, but work ethic must be reciprocated. In the circumstances that the problem persists, the student’s parents are informed and the student will be disenrolled. A pro-rata refund of remaining fees will be issued.

Our tutors are intelligent, highly motivated and creative individuals having achieved numerous academic awards. They have years of tutoring experience under their belt. The aim of our tutors is to provide students the opportunity to review and reinforce key concepts whilst building on advanced concepts that will consequently improve knowledge, retention, and confidence in subjects.

We highly recommend students not to miss any class to take maximum benefit from our classes. Since most classes prepare students well ahead of their school syllabus, missing a class will result in students falling behind their peers. We are serious about results and want the best for your child and as a condition of enrolment, students who miss more than two classes per term will be disenrolled and their position will be given to a student on the waiting list.

In the case that a student is sick, Step Ahead Coaching must be notified before class by SMS or phone. Step Ahead Coaching may be able to organize a makeup lesson. Due to the scheduling and structure of classes, a makeup lesson may or may not be allocated in normal theory class times. In this scenario, a session will be allocated within one of the Math Gym or Bee Hive sessions.

Please refer to the Math Gym/Bee Hive information sheet/code of conduct.

These sessions can be booked in at the reception.

These are available on our website, in addition, students and parents will be updated regarding these workshops through the term.

Yes, enrolment into school holiday workshops is open to all. Please fill out the form related to the workshop you want to attend at the reception and make payment to secure your spot.

One-off sessions can only be booked if there are positions available. Contact reception to enquire. Each session will cost $25 (90 minutes for Math Gym and 2 hours for Bee Hive)

Payment can be made online, via EFTPOS, bank transfer or cash. All Payments are made upfront for the term before the commencement of the first class. We also offer weekly/fortnightly payment plans.
